The National Laboratory Animal Centre of CSIR- CDRI Lucknow in collaboration with LASAI will be celebrating the World Laboratory Animal Day on 24th April 2013 to commemorate the great sacrifices of the lives made by unvoiced laboratory animals for beneficial cause of mankind. On this auspicious day, we the part of biomedical scientific fraternity wish to offer our reverence to departed animal souls and take a pledge to ensure humane care, appropriate management and judicious use of experimental animals evocatively retained under confined laboratory conditions

Membership

To enjoy the life membership of the Association, the interested individuals are requested to download and fill up the prescribed Membership Application Form and submit it along with the membership fee to the Secretary General/ Treasurer of the Association.

 

The Association has following categories of membership.

1. LIFE MEMBERS:

 

The members enrolled on whole life membership with a deposition of revised subscription rate @ Rs. 1000/- only (wef.1.4.2010) shall be treated as life members. The members registered earlier under this category will continue to enjoy this status. Restricting to earlier qualification, now a person with minimum qualification as graduate and involved in activities of laboratory animals shall be registered as a life member.

 

2. HONOURARY MEMBERS:

 

Persons with distinction in Science in India and abroad who have contributed to the advancement of Laboratory Animal Science may be elected by the Executive Committee of the Association as Honorary Members.

TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP:

 

Any member whose acts are found to be prejudicial to the interest of the Association shall be disqualified by the General Body on recommendation of the Executive Committee. If three fourth of the attending members vote in favour of such disqualifications; he shall cease to be a member and shall not be entitled to any refund of the membership subscription. The membership will also cease on death or insanity.
